Wait, aren’t EMFs bad for us?

You may have wondered why people would tout PEMF as a healing modality if it uses EMFs?

While they share part of their name, they are actually totally different.

Let’s dive in!

EMF= Electromagnetic Frequency

PEMF=Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency

EMFs are produced at a constant high frequency that produces ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation is energy in the form of teeny tiny waves (we’re talking itty bitty… like .000000039 of an inch). These little energy waves are so small that they have the ability to push electrons out of atoms creating little charged particles (ions) that damage cells and can cause health issues.

Unfortunately, these EMFs are all around us. They come from things like our cell phones, microwaves, laptops, TVs, radar, WiFi, bluetooth and more. They are hard to escape!

PEMFs, however, are produced at a changing (pulsing) low frequency that produces non-ionizing radiation. This energy is produced in the form of huge waves (like huge huge … about 1,000 miles!) and stimulate the body’s natural electromagnetic fields - creating an activation of cells that leads to cellular repair, increase in circulation, and reduction in inflammation.

Essentially, both EMFs and PEMFs are moving energy. One moves it in a way that is damaging to cellular health while the other moves energy in a way that enhances cellular health.
